1) New Production, And Even Better Than Before - I purchased this controller as a replacement for my white, Japan exclusive controller, whose sticks and buttons were getting a bit loose from constant use, as well as the concentric rings on the analog stick wearing down. The plastic used in the new controllers is textured, and offers a better grip than the smooth plastic they used to use, which is a big plus for me. The sticks and buttons are tight, and make short hopping in Super Smash Bros. Melee and twitch aiming in Killer7 and Metroid Prime 1/2 much easier. The cable is a good deal longer than the NTSC controllers, (and shorter than the cable of the Japan exclusive white controller that this is replacing) which doesn't affect me, but I still like to have the long cable available for use. (my setup has the Wii/Gamecube right next to me) Overall quality is first party Nintendo; that is to say, flawless, and in my opinion the white with shiny silver logo is gorgeous, and looks far better than the black/silver.

2) Gorgeous controller - This controller is GORGEOUS. It has a nice matte paint job with a shiny matte silver smash logo in the center. This controller works and feels exactly like the original controller. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I would highly recommend this to your Smash Bros. friends and family.
